To ensure the safety of the children and adults in our care and those we provide services to, we carry out police checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for all staff. Please note that exemption under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 does not apply. You must include details of convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings, including spent convictions, including those related to juvenile offences. We will always rule out volunteer applications from those who have convictions for crimes against persons resulting in imprisonment. We will generally ignore minor convictions and convictions that have no relevance to the type of work offered e.g. driving disqualification unless for a driving post.

Please provide one referee who is able to write a reference in support of your application. A referee could be a church leader, an employer, teacher, doctor or other professional who has known you for at least two years and is able to comment on your suitability for the role for which you are applying. Referees should not be a relative. The offer of voluntary work with Crofton Park Baptist Church is subject to a satisfactory reference and we reserve the right to withdraw our placement offer if this is not received. We reserve the right to request additional references where necessary.
