Our vision

Our vision as Crofton Park Baptist Church is to “Build Bridges, Build Community and Build Disciples”

We build community

…through our Sunday services, small groups, and social gatherings. Our members are active in various community organisations, including Lewisham Foodbank, Lewisham Street Pastors and LEWCAS. We also build community by supporting global charities such as Chance for Childhood, Tearfund and Compassion UK.

We build bridges

…with our immediate community through Welcome Inn, Rainbow Drop In Baby & Toddler Group and our Youth Club. Another way we build bridges is through partnering with other Christian groups. We do this by being actively involved in Brockley Churches Together, Joint services and initiatives, and Global Day of Prayer Lewisham.

We build disciples

…through our teachings on Sundays and our various groups throughout the week. These include a theological group, Bible study group and spiritual formation group. In addition, we have a Sunday School and youth groups for the younger church. Evening prayer gatherings, intercessory group and prayer ministry are all enhancing the spiritual growth of the Church.

Leadership

Our church is led by our Minister, Reverend Christopher Rose and board of Trustees who also serve as the Church Elders.

The board of Trustees are Helen Bogle – Church Secretary, Earl Legister, Mark Bostridge, Robin Collett and Clement Oke – Church Treasurer.

In addition, we have team leaders who take responsibility for different areas of church life:

Rev Christopher Rose

Minister

Rev. Christopher Rose joined us in November 2025 as our full time minister. He has a heart for youth work, plays the drums and loves playing football.

Helen Bogle

Church Secretary

Helen has been part of the church from childhood and has taken on many roles including leading worship, church administrator and running our hugely successful toddler group Rainbow Drop In. She’s always smiling which makes her a hit with the parents and their little ones.

Clement Oke

Church Treasurer

Clement has been part of Crofton Park Baptist Church since 1994. He dabbles in a number of things in the church such as leading worship, replacing the odd lightbulb and keeping the website running when he can. He thinks he can play the bass and we haven’t the heart to disappoint him.

Robin Collett

Trustee and Church Elder

Robin is one of the longest serving members of Crofton Park Baptist Church and brings his love of drama and music to our worship. He’s loves taking long walks through hill and vale and is a rail enthusiast. Anything he doesn’t know about trains isn’t worth knowing.

Earl Legister

Trustee and Safeguarding Lead

Earl is currently the sharpest dressed person in the Leadership. He brings his other hidden talents of chef to our Youth Club which he runs every Friday.
